GeneaBloggers

GeneaBloggers is a categorized list of blogs for genealogical research. The site lists roughly 3,000 blogs in over 50 categories. GeneaBloggers is a membership site (gratis) that encourages genealogists and family historians to document their research to share with other researchers.

History

GeneaBloggers began as a group on Facebook in June 2008, and quickly grew to 300 members, all of whom were bloggers documenting their family history.

In January, 2009, Thomas MacEntee created the GeneaBloggers website [1][2] as a resource for genealogy bloggers and as a way of tracking and listing the new genealogy blogs appearing in the blogosphere.[3]

As of July 2014, there are 2,957 members[4] with blogs listed from around the world covering more than 50 different genealogy-related topics.

Member blogs are tagged with one or more category and can be found at the Genealogy Blog Roll using the search function. The top level divisions are:
