Gowdara Mallikarjunappa Institute of Technology is an engineering and Technology college in Davangere, Karnataka. The college was established by the Srishaila Educational Trust owned by the GM Family, Bheemasamudra.

GMIT as An ISO 9001 Certified institution for applying quality system in providing Teaching service of Technical Education leading to Degree Certificate in Engineering branches. It is recognized by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.

It is located in the outskirts of Davangere city, the geological centre of Karnataka state, a city with sophisticated educational infrastructure, fastest growing city on all forefronts, 265 km north of Bangalore. The college is situated beside Poona - Bangalore Road, National Highway NH 4.

The College is spread over 46 acres of land, at a distance of 4 km from Davangere city, connected to major metropolitan cities of India such as, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, both by roadways and railways directly.

Besides B.E programs, the college also provides a two-year full time Master of Business Administration degree and it also houses a pre-university college.[1]
