Freya Tingley (born 26 March 1994[1]) is an Australian-born actress.

Career

Freya's first professional role was "Young Joan" in Caryl Churchill's play Far Away for The Black Swan Theatre Company in 2008. Since then she has appeared in a number of films including the short Bootleg, a singing role in the short Light as a Feather,[2] directed by Damien Spiccia, X, directed by Jon Hewitt, and 3 voice-overs for the production Bully for You. She appeared in the television miniseries Cloudstreet based on Tim Winton's novel, in a support role as "Young Hat Lamb".

In 2011 she played the lead as a deaf girl, in the short film Beneath the Waves by director Renee Marie. This role required Freya to learn sign language.

In 2012 Freya was cast in Hemlock Grove, the Netflix series produced by Eli Roth in which she plays Christina Wendall.[3][4]

In 2013 Freya was cast in Once Upon a Time as Wendy, a 13-year-old girl based on the heroine Wendy Darling from the novel Peter Pan.[5] It had only taken Freya one audition to get the part of Wendy Darling because Freya could put on a good British accent. Wendy was only seen in a number of episodes and helped Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) gain Henry's heart. However she is then reunited with her family. In 2014, Freya had the lead role in The Choking Game, a movie made for Lifetime.

Freya also played Francine Valli, in Jersey Boys, directed by Clint Eastwood.

Freya would love to return to Once Upon A Time as Wendy Darling if she was asked. Freya is set to star in the 2016 TV series The Wilding.

Freya will be the main role in her new movie, No Way to Live , An interracial teenage couple in the 1950s rob and steal to escape their oppressive town... but when things turn violent, they are forced to confront the dark secrets of their own, this was directed by and written by Nick Chakwin and David Guglielmo. Freya stars alongside Tom Williamson. Freya has also signed a deal for another movie written by the same directors and writers called the young set to come out next year.

On the 14th February 2016 it has been rumored that Freya will star in a supernatural thriller called The Sonata, however no more details have been confirmed.
