Farzad Houshidari (born September 6, 1984) is an Iranian professional inline and ice hockey player.

Playing career

Inline Hockey

He is a member of Iran men's national inline hockey team and took part in two FIRS Senior Men's Inline Hockey World Championships being the 2011 and 2016 editions.

Houshidari won Bronze medal in Inline Hockey Asia Championship in China and also took part in Middle East International Inline Hockey Tournament in Tehran.

At club level, he has played for Enghelab Skating Academy[1] and Nirooye Zamini[2] in Iran inline Hockey League. Alongside fellow Iranian Navid Alizadeh he joined Team Underdogs a Malaysian club, he managed to win Bronze medal with the team in 2013 Malaysia Inline Hockey Tournament. He scored 4 goals and made 6 assists.[3]

Ice Hockey

After signing on November 27, 2012 with Truva Paten Spor Kulübü, a team in Turkish Ice Hockey Super League, he became Iran's first ever Ice Hockey player.[4] However, there are several Ice Hockey players of Iranian heritage most notably Mika Zibanejad and Daniel Rahimi.

He is currently a member of Iran's Ice Hockey national team and took part in national team camps in Italy and Kazakhstan.

Managerial career

Houshidari has been coaching inline hockey since 2007.[5] He is currently a coach for Enghelab Skating Academy[6]
