Farsia

This article is about the settlement in the Western Sahara. For other uses, see Farsia (disambiguation).

Farsia (also spelt (Al) Farciya or (El) Farcya) is a small settlement in north-eastern Western Sahara. It is located 80 kilometres north of Bir Lehlou, close the Moroccan border and within the Moroccan Wall which divides the former territory, on the P42 road between Smara and Tindouf in Algeria.

The only notable feature in Farsia is a small Royal Moroccan Army garrison. It is otherwise uninhabited due to lack of water resources.

Farsia is twinned with two towns in Spain: Arnedo, La Rioja and Girona, Catalonia.
