Farah Khan (Fashion Label)
Farah Khan is a Malaysian fashion label that offers Women's ready-to-wear pieces. The label is known for its signature embellishments that are hand-sewn using Southeast Asian artisanal techniques, combined with a modern design philosophy.[1][2] As of 2013, the label has 3 stand-alone stores in Jakarta, Indonesia,[3] Bali[4] and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.[5] Currently, Farah Khan is also stocked across 44 major cities worldwide.
Since the label's conception in 2007, Farah Khan has been ranked as one of the top 10 most esteemed designers in Malaysia, alongside others such as Jimmy Choo and Bernard Chandran.[6][7]
History
- 2007 - The FARAH KHAN brand made its debut when founder and creative director Farah Khan showcased the collection at the Tranoi tradeshow in Avenue Montaigne, Paris.
- 2008 - FARAH KHAN became the first Malaysian designer brand to be sold in over 31 cities around the world including Milan, São Paulo, Dubai, Moscow, New York and more.
- 2011 - The FARAH KHAN brand entered the Indonesian market. As Asia’s playground for the rich and famous, Bali was the perfect place for the brand’s debut of its pioneer standalone store at the W Retreat & Spa in Seminyak.
- 2013 - FARAH KHAN expanded further with two standalone store in Suria KLCC, Malaysia and Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta.
- 2014 – To date, FARAH KHAN is available at over 70 cities worldwide including Milan, São Paulo, Dubai, Moscow, New York and more.

Since its debut in Paris in 2007, the label has since gathered a strong following of celebrity clientele who have been spotted in the label's dresses including Paris Hilton,[8] Kimora Lee Simmons,[9] Sarah Hyland,[10] Nina Dobrev, Krysten Ritter,[11] Ashley Tisdale,[12] Vanessa Hudgens [13]
