Products

Exterro E-Discovery Suite

Exterro E-Discovery is a web-based software suite that comprises Data Mapping, Legal Hold, Project Management, E-Discovery Data Management and Employee Change Monitor. Each application can be used separately or together as part of end-to-end e-discovery solution.[5] All applications are supported by the Exterro Fusion Platform, the underlying technical framework that powers user management, integrations, dashboards and reporting. Exterro hosts all of its application in the cloud through its SaaS-based deployment model called Exterro Cloud.[6][7]

Data Mapping

Exterro E-Discovery Data Mapping provides a structured inventory of an enterprise’s electronically stored information (ESI). It allows enterprises to identify, analyze and manage the risks associated with ESI, including litigation preparation and compliance measures.[8] E-Discovery Data Mapping automatically refreshes its view of ESI inventories from asset management and other systems, and with periodic updates by a data stewardship process.[9]

Legal Hold

Exterro Legal Hold is designed to help lawyers, paralegals and their counterparts develop a repeatable legal hold process. Exterro Legal Hold enables legal teams to create and track each legal hold from issuance and acknowledgment through the eventual rescission of the hold order and automates the process of providing status and reminder notices to appropriate custodians. Legal Hold can integrate with enterprise HR and asset management systems allowing legal teams to more quickly identify relevant custodians and track responsive data sources. Exterro Legal Hold also has a built-in interview functionality that automates custodian questionnaires and surveys and aggregates responses.[10]

Project Management

Exterro E-Discovery Project Management is a project management application specifically designed for e-discovery and other legal projects. It allows legal teams to define project parameters, supervise progress, track deadlines, monitor budgets, set and manage schedules, and evaluate vendor performance. The application automatically documents all project activities to ensure compliance.[11]

E-Discovery Data Management

Exterro E-Discovery Data Management addresses all data management phases of e-discovery projects, including early case assessment, data collection, processing, analysis, review and production. E-Discovery Data Management crawls and indexes data in its native environment, allowing users to run searches and analyze content prior to collecting data. It also allows users to automatically process, deduplicate and cull data during the collection process, resulting in optimized collection volumes.[12]

Employee Change Monitor

Designed to work in concert with Legal Hold or as a standalone product, Employee Change Monitor integrates with corporate HR systems to detect employee status changes, such as terminations, retirements, leave-of-absences and transfers. The system automatically applies user-defined actions, which can include alerting stakeholders or assigning tasks, such as initiating a data collection.[13]

Exterro Cloud

Exterro Cloud is Exterro's SaaS-based cloud delivery model. It allows all Exterro applications to be hosted in the cloud via Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure and managed by Exterro product experts.[7]
