Eric Pateman

Eric Pateman is a Canadian chef and restaurateur. He is currently the Executive Chef and President at Edible Canada. In 2013, he was awarded the Mayor of Vancouver's Arts Awards for Culinary Arts. [1] Eric is also the Executive Chef and President at Sea to Sky Seasonings, which produces the Amola salt line. He currently resides in Squamish, BC.

Education & Culinary Career

Pateman attended Dubrulle Culinary School, studying in the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program. He then worked as a Chef and Hospitality Consultant in North America, the UK, and Africa before founding Edible Canada.

Edible Canada is an eight-year-old culinary tourism business headquartered on Granville Island in Vancouver, BC. Originally founded as Edible Vancouver in 2006, the company soon became known as Edible British Columbia upon moving to Granville Island, and was then eventually renamed Edible Canada in 2010. The business includes a bistro and retail store on Granville Island, as well as satellite stores in Tofino and Oliver, BC, and offers food-related tours and events in and around the Lower Mainland. It was recently named to the 2014 PROFIT Top 500, which ranks Canada's fastest growing companies.[2]

Sea to Sky Seasonings is an artisan salt and seasoning company founded in 2010. Amola is the rebranded salt division and was established in 2013.

Pateman has co-authored two cookbooks, The British Columbia Cookbook and The British Columbia Seasonal Cookbook.
