Major-General Sir Edward Nicholson Broadbent KBE CB CMG DSO (5 May 1875 – 18 June 1944) was a British Army officer who became Lieutenant Governor of Guernsey.
Military career
Broadbent was appointed a lieutenant in the King's Own Scottish Borderers in 1897[1] and, after a period with the Egyptian Army,[2] served with his regiment throughout World War I.[3] He was appointed Lieutenant Governor of Guernsey in 1934[4][5] and was also Colonel of the King's Own Scottish Borderers.[6]
He is buried in Magdalen Hill Cemetery at Winchester in Hampshire.[7]
