Edward "Ed" Bleiberg (born 1951) is an American archaeologist[1][2] and Egyptologist.[3] He graduated from Haverford College,[3] did graduate studies at Yale University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and finally received an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto.[3] Since 1998, he has been the curator of Egyptian, Near Eastern, and classical art at the Brooklyn Museum.[3] He is known in the academic realm for his research into the Jewish minorities living in the ancient world and for his study of ancient Egyptian burial customs.[3] He has also appeared in a documentary known as King Tut's Gold.[4]
