ED Hose is an artist and illustrator from Brunswick, Georgia.[1]

Early life

Hose was raised in Bucks County, PA.[1] ED Hose is not her original name, she had it legally changed as an adult.[2] Hose received her BFA from Temple University Tyler School of Art, focusing on illustration, design, and performance art. She graduated with a major in Illustration and Design in 2001.[3] After graduation, she took a job as an art director for an entertainment collectibles company, working on memorabilia for movies and product packaging.[1]

Art career

As a freelance illustrator she has created public art as well as commercial book work.[1] Her work is featured especially in the downtown section of Brunswick.[2] Other public works are also on display in Charleston, South Carolina.[3] The first exhibition of her original work was a part of Art Downtown, held in 2009,[4] entitled Bacon Wrapped Double Happiness Served on a Crispy Bed of Awesome.[5] In 2015 Hose published the book The ED Hose Totally Off the Wall Coloring Book: Seriously Right Off The Wall, her first coloring book.[2] She has also illustrated fourteen children’s books for other authors,[6] including Grace Gore Sturdivan,[7] Vincent LaFontan, and Mattie Brown, in addition to other non-fiction works.[8] Hose also owns the studio Drawing Conclusions, located in St. Simons Island, which opened in October 2014.[9]
