Dover Court International School (formerly Dover Court Preparatory School)[1] is an international school incorporated in the Republic of Singapore. In 2015 it is registered with the Council for Private Education and delivers the English National Curriculum to over 1,000 students between the ages of 3[2] and 18. Since April 2014 it has been part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools.[3]

History

Dover Court Preparatory School and its managing company, Dover Court International School (Pte) Ltd, were founded 42 years ago by the late chairman, Ernest Alliott, who, prior to that, had been a British Government Headmaster in Singapore for many years.

In April 2014, the school changed ownership and became part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools. Nord Anglia Education students are part of a large network and able to engage in learning activities through initiatives such as Global Classroom.[4]

The school underwent an extensive refurbishment project during the 2014 summer period. In September 2014, the school changed its name from Dover Court Preparatory School to Dover Court International School.[5]

In early 2015, the Juilliard - Nord Anglia Performing Arts Program was developed by Juilliard in collaboration with Nord Anglia Education.[6] This enabled Dover Court International School's students to be a part of the first 10 schools to pilot the program alongside other schools in Washington, Praque, Shanghai and Thailand, among other cities.[7]

In 2016, Mr. Christopher Short became the Principal.
