Digicel Play is a Papua New Guinea's first pay television satellite TV provider. It is owned and run by Mobile network giants, Digicel who also recently bought out Fiji's only pay tv service, Sky Pacific for a mere FJD$5.75m[1]

History

In November 2014, it was launched in PNG with 29 channels in total, including TVWan, a brand new, locally produced Free-to-View channel.[2] In May 2015, It launched with 26 channels in Tonga under the name "DigiTV" but re-branded to Digicel Play on November 2015.[3]

In March 2016, it launched its services in Barbados.[4] In 2016 Digicel Play also launched it's service across Trinidad and Tobago.
