"Det blir alltid värre framåt natten" (English translation: "It Always Becomes Worse When the Night Comes") was the Swedish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1978, performed in Swedish by Björn Skifs.

At the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 in Paris, 22 April, Björn Skifs intended to cause controversy by singing in English, which could have disqualified him from the contest. Although he decided to perform the song in Swedish he forgot some of the words during the performance, replacing them with gibberish.

The song was performed twentieth on the night and last (following Austria's Springtime with "Mrs. Caroline Robinson". At the close of voting, it had received 26 points, placing 14th in a field of 20.

It was succeeded as Swedish representative at the 1979 Contest by Ted Gärdestad with "Satellit".
