Darryn Causby

Darryn James Causby is a Northern Irish politician based in Portadown, who was Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon District Council between 2015 and 2016.[1]

Causby was first elected in 2011 for the Democratic Unionist Party as a new face in Portadown to the former Craigavon Borough Council. He successfully held his seat in Portadown in 2014 before becoming the first Lord Mayor of the newly formed Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council on 1st April 2015.[2]

During his duties, he met US President Barack Obama on St Patrick's Day (17 March 2016), and attended a garden party with the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. He resigned from the role in June 2016.[1]
