The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) is an orchestra based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.

History

Established in 1914 as the Cape Town Municipal Orchestra,[1] and founded by the local authority, this orchestra, and its predecessors, soon established a reputation nationally and internationally through concerts and tours which have included the UK, Taiwan, the Canary Islands, and the United States.
