C. T. Abdurahim

'C. T. Abdurahim' is a writer, religious scholar and educationist.

Life and Work

C. T. Abdurahim was born in the village of Chennamangallur in 1945. After studying religion for 10 years, he left to continue his studies in Qatar in 1972 - probably as the first ever to go to Qatar from this village, which is now a hub of Qatari expatriates. After completing his studies, he joined Qatar Police and accompanied the Director for Religious Affairs and Cultural Revival Department, Sheikh Ansari to India.

In 1982 he left Qatar and came back to India and with the help of friends, set-up Dayapuram Educational and Cultural Centre. For the last 31 years, he has been coming to Dayapuram everyday including on Sundays and working on improving the quality of this organization.^[1]

Noted secular activist Javed Anand called C. T. Abdurahim in an article “the think tank of anti-Islamist movement among Muslims”.
