CEVRO Liberal Conservative Academy is a think-tank of Czech political party Civic Democratic Party.[1][2] It was established in 1999 by Ivan Langer.[3][4]

According to Ivan Langer, the founder of CEVRO: "CEVRO creates a comprehensive system that enriches ideal and communication skills of everyone, who is willing to improve his abilities." The main goal of CEVRO is to improve political culture, education in social sciences and support of democracy and freedom around the world.[5]

CEVRO Liberal Conservative Academy established CEVRO institute on September 15th, 2005 as its own private university. It offers a wide range of majors in social sciences on both BA and MA levels and several professional post-graduate programs. It is focused on education and research in the area of social sciences with practical use in public life. Educational programmes include Politology, International relations, Law, Economy and Public Administration.

Political Education

There are three programmes in category Political education:[6]

CEVRO provides an education of members of the Civic Democracy Party. The goal is to improve the expertise and communication preparedness or good governance and to carry out its regular functions, including functioning in stressful situations.

Another project is called Women and politics. Its goal is to help to achieve a greater participation of women in Czech politics.

The Liberal Conservative Academy is a one-year interdisciplinary study program of economics, international relations, political science, political marketing, law, communications and public presentations. Graduates receive „Liberal Conservative Academy Diploma".

Democracy Assistance

CEVRO participates in a few programs to support democracy abroad. It includes transition of Egypt to democracy or annual trips to Prague for democracy activists from countries such as Belarus, Cuba or Burma.[7]
