Avant is the self-titled fifth studio album by Avant. It was released on December 9, 2008 (which was the same release date for his album Private Room). Its first single, "When It Hurts," reached #91 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #15 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop charts. The second single is "Break Ya Back (In a Good Way)". The album was also his first release on Capitol Records. The album sold 93,929 copies to date.
