Ashley John "Ash" Palmer (born 9 November 1992 in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, England) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Guiseley.

Career

Palmer progressed through the Barnsley youth ranks but was released in February 2009 and signed for Scunthorpe United where he became youth team captain.[1] Palmer signed his first professional contract in June 2010 on an on-year deal.[2] He made his professional debut on 30 August 2011, in the Football League Trophy 2–0 win over Hartlepool United at Glanford Park.[3]

He joined Southport on loan in January 2012.[4] Later that season he joined Harrogate Town on loan[5] and made his club debut in a 2-1 home defeat to Vauxhall Motors.[6]

He was released by Scunthorpe in May 2012.[7]

In 2016 upon ending his long relationship, Palmer underwent drastic lifestyle changes in a bid to further his career. This included switching dress sense to utilise hats and clothing from JD, drinking Budweiser, and being 'one of the lads'. Palmer's manager was quoted as saying this was 'better from youuuu'.

Hinckley United

Palmer signed for Hinckley United in September 2012.[8] He made his debut in a 2-0 home loss against Halifax Town a day later.

Droylsden

In October he moved, signing for Droylsden.[9]

North Ferriby United

In June 2015 he signed for FA Trophy holders North Ferriby United bringing to an end his two-year stay at Buxton.[10]
