Ally Shewan (born 5 August 1940) is a Scottish former football player.[1]

Shwean played for Aberdeen from 1961–69 and has been described as a "no-nonsense left-back". Shewan once appeared in a run of 313 consecutive games.


Shewan also played for the Washington Whips in the United Soccer Association in 1967, leading them to the USA's championship game against the Los Angeles Wolves. In the 122nd minute of extra time and the match tied 5-5, Shewan scored an own goal and Los Angeles won the match 6-5 and the title.

After leaving Aberdeen Shewan played for and was later the manager of Elgin City, when they played in the Scottish Highland Football League. Shewan is a member of Aberdeen Football Club's Hall of Fame.
