Ali Zaidi (Urdu: سيد علی زیدی is a Pakistani American online entrepreneur who is widely regarded as Pakistan's first and most famous celebrity blogger. He was born in Karachi, Pakistan and educated in Skokie, Illinois. Zaidi founded the website Pakmanzil.com, which covers Pakistani celebrity news, music, and fashion.
Early life and career
Zaidi attended Niles West High School in Skokie, Illinois. He is the pioneer music bloggers from Pakistan. He founded the entertainment website Pakmanzil.com in high school,[1] along with a Hollywood entertainment website Pink Magazine.
The Daily Herald writes about Ali: "There are many misconceptions about his home country, he says. Pakistanis listen to rap music, wear jeans and t-shirts and like Western artists. By promoting similarities between Pakistan and other countries – and trying to understand and acknowledge the cause of deeper tensions – there's hope for peace and collaboration, he believes."[2]
Zaidi is also a former radio disc jockey & has hosted shows on various FM stations in the United States. He primarily known to be one of the pioneer music bloggers in Pakistan, and is often called and known as the Ryan Seacrest of Pakistan by his listeners and fans.[3]
