Abdul Hamid Hameedi (born 7 January 1927) is a former field hockey player from Pakistan. But he likes to celebrate it on the 19th of June. He was the first person to gold medal for Pakistan He won silver medal in 1956 Summer Olympics and gold medal in 1960 Summer Olympics.[1]
Pakistani Hockey Team, led by its team captain, Abdul Hamid Hameedi, ended 32 years of domination by its arch-rival India at 1960 Rome Olympics and won their first Olympic gold medal.[2]
