Presidential election

A presidential election will be held in India before 25 July 2017, the day when incumbent President Pranab Mukherjee's term ends.

Legislative assembly elections

Punjab

Punjab forms the northwest part of India. Its capital is Chandigarh, which is a Union territory and also a capital of Haryana. Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in January 2017.

Uttar Pradesh

Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in January 2017.

Uttarakhand

Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in January 2017.

Manipur

Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in February 2017.

Goa

Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in March 2017.

Gujarat

Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in November 2017.

Himachal Pradesh

Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in December 2017.
