The 2015 Malaysia Super League (also known as Liga Super Malaysia 2015 in Malay) was the 12th season of the highest Malaysian football league since its inception in 2004. 12 teams participated in the league with Johor Darul Ta'zim as the defending champions. The season started on 31 January 2015 and concluded on 22 August 2015. Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and Media Prima were chosen to broadcast several league matches this season.

Major changes

The following are the key changes of 2015 Super League season as compared to the previous season:

The 2015 Malaysia Charity Shield match between Johor Darul Ta'zim and Pahang will also be a Super League match. Results of the 90-minute match will be counted towards the league table classification. The last time this happened was during the 2011 Malaysia Super League and 2014 Malaysia Super League season.
Goal-line referees will be introduced in selected matches during the season, and will be fully implemented for all matches in the 2015 Malaysia Super League season if the feedback is positive.^[3]
For the 2015 season, a total of 4 foreign players can be registered by Super League teams, including at least one player from AFC countries, and all 4 foreign players can be fielded at one time in a match. The announcement was made by FAM during the exco meeting in December 2014.^[4]

Teams

A total of 12 teams compete in the 2015 season which includes the top 10 teams that participated in the 2014 season and champions and runners-up of the 2014 Malaysia Premier League.

T-Team and PKNS FC were relegated at the end of the 2014 Malaysia Super League season after finishing in the bottom place of the league table.

2014 Malaysia Premier League unbeaten champions PDRM FA and runners-up FELDA United FC secured direct promotion to the Super League.
