7 May - Model Oni Pustina and his partner Linda Poda win the first season of Dancing with the Stars.
15 May - Jetmir Salaj wins season three of Big Brother.
25 December - Aurela Gaçe is selected to represent Albania at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Kënga ime". She is selected to be the eighth Albanian Eurovision entry during Festivali i Këngës 49 held at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.
