The second Gulf Cup of Nations or Arabian Gulf Cup (Arabic: كأس الخليج العربي), was held in Saudi Arabia, in March 1972.

The tournament was won by Kuwait, claiming their second title.

Bahrain also took part in the competition, but they walked off the field during their match against Saudi Arabia to protest the officiating; they were subsequently ejected from the competition and their results were expunged.
