The 1961–62 New York Rangers season was the 36th season for the team in the National Hockey League (NHL). During the regular season, the Rangers finished fourth in the NHL with 64 points, and qualified for the playoffs. In the NHL semi-finals, the Rangers lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs in six games.[1]
