Šenkovec, Zagreb County

Šenkovec is a naselje (settlement) in the municipality of Brdovec, Zagreb County, Croatia. According to the 2001 census, it has 733 inhabitants[1] living in an area of 0.90 square kilometers (0.35 sq mi).[2] It was the site of a Yugoslav Partisan massacre of civilians at the end of World War II in 1945, which killed approximately 500 people, with the Partisans burying the bodies in an anti-tank trench.[3]
