Álvaro Gil Cabral (1335-1433) was a Portuguese nobleman, Lord of Belmonte,[1] and Azurara. He served as Alcaide of Guarda, Portugal between 1383-1399.[2]

Biography

Álvaro was the son of Gil Cabral, bishop of Guarda. His wife was Catarina Anes de Loureiro daughter of João Anes Loureiro.[3]

Álvaro Gil Cabral was an important member in the Court of The Kings of Portugal, being vassal of Ferdinand I and John I.[4]
