Opis:

Description:
TROTTEL is ten years old in 1995. Quite a romantic feeling and a lot of things go through our minds when thinking about this. Tours, Hundred of gigs, thousands of kilometres. Uncountable positive and negative experiences. Thrughout this time we've been a self managing band, as we don't like having to make compromises. This is the way that we've been able to ensure that we don't have to depend on others...
Our "fixa idea" to be independent and a "do it yourself" band, never was the most convenient or succesful way of working but we have managed to keep Trottel in the way we like it and to do what we like to do with it.
A hell of a lot of people have helped us through this. (At least as many as the number of those who didn'thelp at all.) Thanx a million to the helping ones. Kind of people who have never been motived by financial reasons and that is rare in today's World. Many of them have become our best friends. These friendship are very important for us (we hope it is for them too) as is the relationship we have been able to build with our public.
Everything has changed around us during these years and we are constantly changing as well but our aim and basic motivation has stayed the same: To communicate through music, exchanging ideas, meeting people... playing music in a way that we don't sacrifice our creativity for the money and our music for the public taste manipulated by money.

THE STOLEN GARDEN. You open your eyes: it's morning. Half sleeping you go to the kitchen and put on the coffee machine. The sun is shinning. You have a look at the outside world and suddenly you realise that your garden has been stolen. You can't believe what you see: you're totally shocked and surprised... You cared so much about those miserable little plants. You planted them, watered them, watched them grow week after week. Then one night someone just walks into the court and takes them...
What are you doing man?
The title of the album came from this absurd, banal little story. We try to exist in such a cold and apathetic world where people are slowly forgetting that they don't live alone on the Earth. Solidarity and empathy are unfashionable ideas. No respect for anything or anyone. You walk in the streets and sometimes you feel like everyone is everyone elses enemy. Continous fight for your own space. If you show yourself you'll be abused, if you stay naive they'll walk through you. If you leave your garden out it disappears in the night... the risk is big!
You quickly learn that what you get is yours and everybody and everything else "sucks"...
At the same time we believe that there's a bunch of positive things and thoughts in people... Wich we are all afraid to show... We all close in our garden so that nobody can touch it, just like in the story: the garden is stolen, you are hurt. Just don't risk anything!
It would be said if this was the conclusion of the stolen garden's story.
