Cosmos AMA #1 Cyber Devs

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Cosmos AMA #1 Cyber Devs starts now!

Hello cosmonauts. Welcome to the first episode of our Cosmos AMAs.🚀

Cosmos AMAs is a series of discussions held with participants within the Cosmos ecosystem in which we approach different teams and try to get familiar with the work they are doing, their project and the vision they have for Cosmos.

Today we’ll be talking with the Cyber Devs team about how their vision came to life, their Cosmos history, their Cyber project and the proposal they have launched on Cosmos Hub for atom holders to support Cyber’s launch in exchange of CYB’s tokens.

Cyber Congress is building a decentralized search engine with the Cosmos SDK. Learn about how they're going to compete with Google in this upcoming AMA.

To award participants of this AMA, meaning members who will be engaging with the team in asking questions, we will be giving away Cosmos T-shirts and EUL tokens. Stay tuned! 🤩

Let’s welcome the Cyber team to our first Cosmos AMA!

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Hey, Serj from cyber~Congress here! Glad to be doing this AMA! Thanks for the opportunity, I hope this will become a tradition for this TG channel to host AMAs for ecosystem projects!

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Hey Serj, welcome, happy to have you with us!

Let's start speaking about the team, your individual history, how did you all meet and how the team got together to form what Cyber Devs is together.

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

The history of cyber goes back about 3 years ago. It started with cyber Search, an idea to create a blockchain agnostic explorer. Eventually the idea and the team and it scaled, which led to the creation of a search protocol for the Great Web (our name for web3).
We believe that our ambitions, in combination with our feel of the market and the deep understanding of the technology bring us together. The core team has worked on and off, building projects form 2016 such as Cyber Fund, Satoshi Fund, Golos, etc.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Can you put some light on the various names we have seen associated with Cyber? For example what are the differences between Cyber Congress, Cyber Foundation, Cyber and #fuckgoogle?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Haha! Sure!

Sometimes I get confused myself =)
We use the name cyber a lot.
cyber~Congress is a private DAO (private as in it is a private company, if you may, but unlike a company that has registration, this one has a public Aragon DAO) that is launching Cyber and is planning working on the protocol until Cyber~Foundation takes over. cyber~Foundation is the DAO that will help to govern Cyber. It will act as a decentralized fund and have its own monetary flow, the donated ETH. It will not have any jurisdictions, registrations, CEOs, etc.
Cyber is the name of the protocol and how we refer to the project. The name cyber refers to the word cybernetics (check out Wikipedia for more info) - a science which describes the behaviour of dynamic systems with feedback loops. Cyber is a verb actually, that we want to popularize.
Fuckgoogle is just a motto that we use and the name of a validator launched on the Cosmos hub by members of cyber~Congress. A lot of people think this is offensive and we should censor it. We think this is silly. First of all fucking is not about pain or bad things. Second, censorship killed more people throughout history than probably everything else, other than religion, which, if looked deep into its history is full of censorship.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Got it! Thank you for clearing things up!

Going back to your history now. I know that the team has been involved with Cosmos since the very beginning. Can you elaborate on what are Cyber’s contributions to the Cosmos ecosystem so far?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

We believe that the best promotion for projects like Cosmos, is building a bridge to real world usecases. This will attract more people to the ecosystem, which is different from just sharing the current pie, hence, Cyber, is our biggest contribution to the cosmos ecosystem, which is built using Tendermint and cosmos-SDK: https://github.com/cybercongress/go-cyber
- A launch kit for projects launching their networks on cosmos and various tools: https://github.com/cybercongress/launch-kit (it also contains various open source dev tools, for example cosmos address converters, gift tools, migration tools, etc)
- We are actively participating in IBC and GOZ, we released one of the first demos of the relayer and are trying to be as active as time allows us
- We are building a bridge between Cosmos and Aragon (as one of the most successful project in Ethereum network) via our use of daos and various open source apps that we created: all found here: https://github.com/cybercongress/cyber-foundation
- Working on snap, a multi chain metamask snap wallet for cosmos chains: https://github.com/cybercongress/cyb-snap
- We were doing some bug hunting with regards to the SDK in the early days, alas not as much as some of the other great teams gathered here
- Supported Javascript implementation of the Amino encoding protocol for sometime: https://github.com/cybercongress/js-amino
- We support a small cosmos validator, fuckgoogle, that has been running for sometime now
- We have held numerous local events and have been speakers at various public events, where we try to mention Cosmos as the tool to build blockchains with

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

That is very useful data, especially for the community who would like to know more about the team and your participation so far.

[Forwarded from serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

:)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Circling back to Cyber. What is Cyber, how did this idea come to life and why did the team decide to work on this project?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

I have a full story with video links here =)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Bring it on!

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Thats the story with links, I will save people from reading all of it now :)
https://github.com/cybercongress/congress/blob/master/ecosystem/Cyber%20Homestead%20doc.md#the-history-of-cyber

But

As to why we decided to work on the project… Well, this is actually the most important question. All of our work is based on our values. There is a manifest that says why cyber~Congress was established and it is to help the evolution of species, for anyone interested, check it out:
https://github.com/cybercongress/congress/blob/master/ecosystem/Cyber%20Homestead%20doc.md#the-manifest-1
The gist is that we believe in freedom, privacy and decentralization. We share and propagate the vision of improving this world. We believe that evil stands behind a centralized, bureaucratic approach to technology, governance, communication protocols (money), etc. Each person should be able to control their own data, their identity, their knowledge. The universe can become a better place if our children live in a digital environment where they are in charge of their actions.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

I could not agree more!

I would like to go back to your core project. So, Cyber is building the Great Web aka Web3 in the Cosmos community. Let’s elaborate on this, starting with Google versus Cyber. Similarities and differences.

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

I will answer with a picture :)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

I hope you'll let me use this picture next time someone asks me about this🙏 This is so refreshingly easy to understand.

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Its all yours!

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

But how does Cyber work? Can you share an example for us to better understand it?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Ok, I kinda prepared this answer in advance. It's longish :)

Cyber is a brand new procedure that helps adding and searching information onto a knowledge graph (a compilation of facts about something that provides meaning to the user). And rank this information. In other words, it's a decentralized google. This protocol exists thanks to such technology as blockchain and what is referred to, as content addressing.
Why do we need a new way to search for things? Well, there are 2 reasons. One, we want to decentralize the service of the web. The problem is that the current semantic core, that we use every day, is built pretty much by one company, allowing it to sell data, provide users with misleading information and to effectively censor data. And here we come to Cybers second task, the creation of an open semantics core, which means that nobody can control and monopolize information.
You can purchase most of google's services, but you cannot purchase the ability to search without bullshit and advertisement. Moreover, you cannot search for many things. The original vision of the internet was to share knowledge freely. Currently, this is not the case. We pay for academic papers, we cannot freely share information. Hence projects like WikiLeaks, arXiv.org, tor, etc exist.
How does this all work and can this really be used for something rather than just search? Well, imagine a simple graph. This graph has an X-axis and a Y-axis. For now, let's label the X-axis from and the Y-axis to. Now imagine that you want to end up at any point of this graph. You need to fill in 2 bits of information. From and to. The form in our case is a search word that will identify the content. This is what shapes the semantics field. The to, is the content itself. So far simple.
To make the content and the keyword immutable, we use what we call content identifiers. For now, we work with a technology called IPFS, which is, basically, a distributed p2p storage, where users can safely store and exchange data (but Cyber can work with any similar technology, DAT, GIT, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Swarm, etc).
This means that to add anything to the graph, the users need to use IPFS hashes (hash is simply an encrypted pointer to a certain value that lets us make sure that what is pointed to is actually what is pointed to and not something else). Users use the 2 links to create what we call a cyberlink. A Cyberlink is exactly what is described above, a link between the X and the Y, where one thing is the keyword and the other is the content.
There is no transactional cost in Cyber, this means that it doesn't cost anything to add information to the graph. But we need to limit spam, this is why Cyber uses an energy model. Where users have a certain amount of energy that they can spend over a certain period of time before it recharges. Just like your phone or tablet.
As this content gets added the graph is filled with more and more knowledge. This knowledge needs to somehow be indexed and ranked. There is so no censorship in Cyber. All of the indexing and ranking is done with the help of a transparent mechanism that everyone knows of. This work is done by validators with GPU’s.
Because we use hashes and blockchain technology, we can root to the origin of the links and make sure that the content came from where it says it has. Basically, allowing for a simple provable mechanism. At first, this makes up for a perfect search engine, without a blackbox intermediary. But going back to our graph, we can imagine that such a graph can be used in many cases.

Sorry :)
I tried making this shorter, but failed :)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

ok, give me some time to process it🙏

You said that the Cyberlink is a link between the X and the Y, where one thing is the keyword and the other is the content.

But what is the reason someone would want to create one? What’s the motivation?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Good question:)

Hyperlinks shape the internet. They have built it. We base our knowledge, our political, economic and educational decisions on the internet. We learn from google. google is our teacher, source of knowledge, religion, etc. But, how can we trust the internet if it was shaped by something that itself is untrusted? Well, we can't. Cyberlinks, on the other hand, are backed by a provable and an auditable mechanism that anyone can check. This means that with the aid of cyberlinks we can, no less, but create a trusted model of all the information in the universe!
What is the motivation to create one? Well, if you want the internet to work for you and not the megacorps to sell you back your information as ads, then this is one reason. Knowledge should be decentralized and immutable. That's another. People should not live in a world where they are slaves to data… Apart from that it allows for a number of use cases.
If you want to know how they compare, check this out:
https://github.com/cybercongress/congress/blob/master/ecosystem/ELI-5%20FAQ.md#how-is-cyberlink-different-to-a-hyperlink

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Talking about use cases. What are Cyber’s use cases? How does Cyber look from a user perspective?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Ok. This one is also prepared in advance

It's hard to predict what Cyber will look like from the perspective of the user, however, I would like to speculate that it will be somewhat of a mixture of a provable answering machine and a friendly robot that helps you to make digital life easier.
As for use cases. Firstly it's a search protocol and a distributed computer for answers. And that's what we want to focus on. However Cyber works with semantics. The reality is that most of our lives, in technological aspect of things, are based around semantics.

As a user Cyber enables me to:
- Create cyberlinks (hyperlinks 2.0)
- Commit to an open semantics core with the help of cyberlinks (aka commit to the knowledge graph)
- Rank content
- Search content
- Fork out the client / create my own personal knowledge graph
- Stake tokens
- Run my own infrastructure \ charge commission
What can this be good for:
- Created a trusted and verified source of knowledge
- Create marketing campaigns
- Verify content
- Work with semantics, which allow for a lot of possible use cases
Envision (some are theoretical):
- Create web3 browsers (self explanatory)
- Create social networks (via connection of interest)
- Have offline search (IPFS can retrieve docs without a global connection, if cyber is distributed via IPFS, you can use offline search)
- Command tools for the search box (read CLI right from the search box)
- Self prediction tools and oracles based on data
- AI tools / ML tools (Autonomous robots working on the bridge of open semantics core connected to a transactional mechanism)
- Data market. Its yours, do whatever you want with it - sell, trade, etc
- Program semantics and let developers target specific cores of their programs
- Location proof: mine triangulations and attach a location to that proof, you get registries and can play with geo-hashing
- Prediction markets (already explained)

There is more, but it gets complicated

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Ok, let's save some for the blog post also 🙂

If I were to imagine Cyber is designed to fix a problem, what problem does it want to solve?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Cyber solves the problem of opening up the centralised semantics core of the internet. It does so by shaping an open and accessible semantics core, created (and managed) by the users. This allows to design a trustless, provable and incentivized method of communication between users who provide content and those searching for it. Effectively removing censorship, blackbox intermediary opinions and opening the possibility for a provable, incentivized and a fairer method for anyone to build and use online tools that are built around semantics.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Talking about the user, why would he/she be interested in Cyber?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Or they :)
If you’re interested in our future being less centralized, our children living in a world where they control their actions and decisions, you should be interested in cyber.

Data is the new gold and the next economic explosion will be associated with this field. Search is a global mechanism that work and operates with data and one of the most important points of entrance to data trading.

We believe that Cyber has an important mission. And regardless of whether we succeed or not as a team, cyber as a distributed, open-source computer is here to stay, be forked out, changed, etc...

More or less like this

:)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

We have discussed before about Cyber's contribution to the entire ecosystem. But now i would like to ask you why is Cyber important for the Cosmos ecosystem?

[Forwarded from serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Hmmmm
Well, it has a real world usecase, that can attract users and developers to Cosmos, that's one

It can also act as a provable, decentralized oracle between chains, helping to settle input. It can act as a general search mechanism. Providing provable answers to queries. It can be used by chains as a trustless environment for indexing and ranking content, etc

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Moving on to the value proposition that has been a hot subject within the cryptosphere.
Cyber's mainnet token will be CYB.
Can you elaborate on what CYB’s value proposition is? How will the CYB token accrue value?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

The creation of Decentralized Marketing instruments will allow for things like provable conversion attribution of ads with a resulting financial transaction and identity.
Right now payment systems are disconnected from ad systems and ad system have no way to prove anything about the actions of the users. We are used to believing ad systems because they lead to conversions with some probability. But everything behind conversion (either on the third-party website or even on a website you control) is usually very inaccurate and probabilistic. Cyber is a system which will give content creators the power and energy to attribute and predict conversions precisely and provably.
CYB is its token. CYB can be used like this to provide monetary value. But also CYB has value as a staking and a securing token for the network. Of course, as with all the examples I mention, I can only imagine what instruments will be created. CYB is needed everywhere in Cyber.
The info is not easy to take on, but we tried to design the system where the token has utility.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Is there any other project within the space that works on this idea/model/protocol?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

And of course you need cyb to search :)
That's a value by itslef

Not that we know of

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Going back to the project, the team and community are actively involved in the Game of Links, an incentivized testnet, created to battle test the Cyber software and to get initial traction.

Can you elaborate on what Game of Link history? When did it start? What is the pool prize? How many validators have been participating so far? When do you expect it to end?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Yep. The game of links is the name of our gamified testing proccess

It started at the end of December, it is our incentivized gamified process used to achieve a better initial allocation of CYB. There is 7 disciplines in which people can take part, including creating cyber links, running nodes, etc. The prize pool of these disciplines is 50,000,000,000 CYB, however outcome of certain descilines is dependent on several factors, like the takeoff round. Everything can be monitored from here: https://cyber.page/gol

At most we had about 16 validators participate in the game, but as I said its not just for validators. There have been almost 250 thousand cyberlinks created! With numerous tools, like crawlers, extensions, etc (the game also includes prizes for non technical participation and our ambassador program: https://cybercongress.ai/post/obep/)

It will end either when 146 days have passed after the takeoff or when the donation target of 300k ATOM is met, after that there is a 21-day final, where everyone who participated in the takeoff round, gets an extra bonus so he can win more CYB. If you want to join, check out this link: https://cybercongress.ai/playing-gol/

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

I can't really tell if 250 thousand cyberlinks is a lot or not🤔

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Its a lot for a testnet of a small blockchain project, it's not much in terms of the internet :)

One small step for...

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Can people still participate in Game of Links?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Yep!

This is the link: https://cyber.page/gol

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Great!

How much of the prize pool was distributed so far?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Just about 6 percent

A lot more to go :)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Oh wow! So there is plenty more to go!

What comes next after Game of Links? When do you expect the mainnet to go live?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

The mainnet will go live after the final of the Game of Links is played and sometime for preparations has passed. So if nothing changes, roughly Q4 of 2020. After that comes cyber~Auction, an 888 day auction where we will try to raise ETH for Cyber Foundation.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

After the mainnet, will Cyber be a Zone or a Hub? Will it route data directly between other chains or use a Hub?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Cyber will strive to become a hub for search engines and search focused zones. So yes it will route data directly if a connection is established.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

And now, I would like us to talk about the proposal that Cyber Congress launched on the Cosmos Hub for a community spend.

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Sure!

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

So, on 21st of May, the team has launched proposal #26 on Cosmos Hub, for the community pool to grant 10,000 #Atom to support the launch of Cyber in exchange for CYBs tokens. Can you share more details on this?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Yes. We would like to create the first ever precented (known to us) of a decentralized VC funding. Where a related project in the ecosystem goes to its bigger brother in the eyes of its collective governing body aka onchain governance and asks it for an anchor investment. Why? Because we are trying to create a decentralized launch for a project that has no jurisdictions, KYC’s, etc.

And believe that it can bootstrap not just our project, but all of the Cosmos ecosystem.
This is an experiment into Decentralized VC if you may where anchor investments can be made by collective pools rather than the usual) with a later interest from individuals (however we don't limit anyone in this matter).

It tests the essence of decentralization )

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

So in this case, the Cosmos Hub via the community pool is the Big Brother 🙂

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Yes! In a good way

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

And why would an atom holder vote YES on this proposal?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

The simple answer is to get sustainability for the community pool. It's not a grant. As simple as it gets. CYB is an asset, assets have value. If you think that Cyber can gain value, then acquiring CYB at this stage will bring value to the Cosmos Hub and ATOM holders.

We think that every ATOM holder will benefit because (a) we’re creating a precedent here that can attract a lot of attention to Cosmos if passed, (b) I've been in crypto long enough to see big projects come and go. By supporting this ATOM holders invest into sustainability and diversification of the community pool. And (c ), Cyber is a project that has utility and is building on Cosmos.
The idea is to grow the ecosystem as far as i see it. This means using the funds to support exceptional projects that are building with Tendermint and Cosmos-SDK. After all, is we want to glorify the ecosystem, we need for it to grow. How will it grow? It will have projects with a clear utility, amazing a product and provable distribution. This will attract users, developers and large stakeholders to the ecosystem.

I hope that makes sense

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

It totally does! This is not a donation or a grant but an investment.

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Yes

[KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Basically you ask the atom holders to invest Atoms from the community pool into the launch of Cyber and in exchange the community pool will receive CYBs tokens.
How many CYBs tokens will be given back by the team to the Cosmos community pool in exchange of this 10,000 #Atoms investment that you are requesting?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

This is entirely dependent on how much ATOM is attracted before this happens. The price of CYB during takeoff is shaped so each next CYB is more expensive than the previous. Generally speaking up to ~0.77% of the supply.
Right now the pool stands at nearly 400k atom if I'm not mistaken...

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

From the team's perspective, what is the value that prop #26 brings to the Cosmos Hub?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

a) It can bring long term value to the hub. It's an asset, the value of the asset rises. profit (of course, assuming one thinks that what cyber does has value and utility)

b) It is beneficial for cosmos as an ecosystem as it creates a precedent of such a case, where a decentralized launch happens and is supported by a comm pool. I would argue that the first chain to understand this, will attract a crazy amount of projects that will come to it (i.e we can throw the deposit into the comm pool in the future, etc)

c) cyber is a project with a clear utility and use, which will have a huge transaction output => value for the ecosystem => attention to cosmos (or rather visa versa on the last part, depends how to look at it)

In our opinion, of course

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

So doing some basic calculations here, I have:
10.000 atoms requested/ from a total supply of 256 mil atoms, means 0,004%- the amount of Cyber request in exchange of 0.004% of the #atoms supply, Cyber offer up to 0.77% from their supply. Is this correct?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

I'm not as quick as you, so I will trust you on that :)
But that's what we propose to give away for that sum

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

And if you do 0.77% to 0.004%, means an appreciation of around 190x 🤩

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Thats a lot of maths :)

🙈😍🚀

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Ok, enought with the math then 😂

I want to talk about IBC and the vision the team has in place. Do you believe that after IBC will be launched, Cyber will compete with Cosmos Hub?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Maybe. We don't know. Healthy competition is better than none. A person selling apples on the market is likely to sell more apples than one who is selling them outside of the market. Where there is demand, there is offer and visa versa. If it will, imo, it only makes more sense for the Cosmos Hub to be a token holder...

[ Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Yes, you are right. We cannot wait to see how the Cosmos ecosystem will look post IBC.

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Ok. Something I wrote in advance too :)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Will Cyber use #IBC? And if yes, what will that connection look like?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Cyber will use IBC as a connection to transfer value. That value is ranked, proved and indexed data. We will create our own modules, of course.
Due to cybers nature of being able to dynamically rank objects, it can create a market for reputation and ranking, and is able to transfer them to other chains through the powers of IBC.
We want to create our own modules, one of which is IKP.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

What is an IKP?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Yes, it's coming :)

An Internet Knowledge Protocol or IKP, powered by IBC, can function in several ways:
- Subscription to the relevant content identifiers
- Subscription to ranking information for content identifiers
- Determination of value for the data behind content identifiers
Firstly an IKP, that functions as a communication artery over IBC. The main exchange of knowledge for the new, Great Web, between any chains connected to the cyber hub via IBC. And, of course, any other hubs connected to cyber via IBC.
With the help of IBC, zones within cyber will be able to take advantage of forming a bigger picture and partnering to support one another. This will also help to reduce the burden of indexing knowledge that already exists within the hub itself.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

How will the Cyber Hub function?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Still coming :)

The cyber hub will function as a major artery of the market, becoming a trade hub for domain-specific knowledge graphs. Onchain market makers may provide additional liquidity to projects who choose to fork and use cyberd as a module on their blockchain. With the help of DeMa and IBC chains will be able to prove relevance using content identifiers and their ranks one to another. This will help to grow the IBC ecosystem, where each chain has multiple possibilities to exchange data, which is probably valued.

There we go :)
I knew this will be here :)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Hopefully, we don't have too wait too much to see this happen 🙂

And now...what comes next for Cyber? What is the roadmap that the team envisions for the following 6-12 months?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

We break development cycles in epochs. For this we use star wars generated episodes, which means that its episode-1 right now. Some of you may have even seen our short intro on cyber.page: https://cyber.page/episode-1

When the mainnet will launch, cyber~Foundation is in place, episode 2 will kick off (more or less - everything is highly dependent on development). You can see our roadmap here: https://github.com/orgs/cybercongress/projects/2. However, the protocol governance and cyber~Foundation might pick completely different paths, so this is our personal vision.
And of course, as we progress, the idea grows, development moves on and so do some plans =)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

And I guess this ends our AMA.

Thank you so much to the Cyber Congress team for accepting to participate in this AMA and we hope that the discussions held here have answered a lot of our community questions around your project and the work that you are doing in the Cosmos ecosystem.
Now we will open the chat to accept incoming questions from the community regarding the Cyber team, proposal 26 or the Great Web.

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Thanks!
We are here, not going away just yet :)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

We will be offering Cosmos t-shirts and EUL tokens to our community so please come and ask questions!

Remember, voting for proposal #26 closed on 4th of June, 3 more dys to vote!

Hurry up and cast your vote!

Chat is now opened! Fire away!

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

[ Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

I have the first question. So first off great AMA 👨‍🚀💜 is there a specific reason why the foundation raiser will take 888 days and why ETH is accepted instead of Atom? Just curious.

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Good question!

Everybody hi! Im xhipster and is the guy behind the idea. Our team is here and will be happy to answer everything you ask.

Yep. We would love spread initial distribution as much as possible thus making it more accesable

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

888 gives us the right amount of time to raise money for the foundation. Its not too much and not too little

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

Great so this will run in parallel right? Network will already be live at that point?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

The mainnet will be live by then, yes

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

👩‍🚀👍

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

Hello, guys! I'm litvintech, developer's board member of cyber~Congress
Happy to answer all questions you ask

[CryptoQ@cryptoq11]

Is it true that ATOM holders can use Cyber now?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Oh yes. I forgot about the gift...

We have also dropped a 1% of CYB as gift to ATOM holders, check out the details here: https://github.com/cybercongress/congress/blob/master/ecosystem/Gift%20FAQ%20and%20general%20gift%20information.md

[Save The Ales | cyber•Congress@savetheales]

yep, you can check your cosmos address at cyber.page search bar for not null balance. We've dropped 1% testnet supply to 10K cosmos addresses

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

Amazing will testnet tokens be convertible to mainnet tokens?

[from xhipster@xhipster]

Not exactly. I would say that result of its usage will be

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

This :)

No and yes. The tokens that people win as part of the prize pool of game of links, will of course count

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

Participating in Game of Links allows to win CYB

[Save The Ales | cyber•Congress@savetheales]

not directly
but by our distribution game ;)
https://cybercongress.ai/game-of-links/

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

Great im looking into this now. Will definitely participate because your idea has crazy potential and the dedication is on another level

[Jazz@AtomJazz]

What will happen with Cyber if you fail to raise enough funds?

[xhipster@xhipster]

We self funded for more than 3 years already. And we quite lean. I think we will slow down, but the project will live 😉

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Awesome question! It as open source tech. Others will succeed where we failed. This is all about decentralized technology. Thats why we are bothered so much making it in this way and not any other way. I.e. decentralized

[xhipster@xhipster]

Also in our case enouth is not so much so I am pretty sure we will manage to sustain the team

[Jazz@AtomJazz]

Tnx, and congrats for ama, great answers all around

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

We are now living only on donations from current round
We with @xhipster build everything by our own money for years and empty now
Mainnet will be launched as planned to launch protocol and GoL end
But donations gives us more support to scale development and team

[Jazz@AtomJazz]

Great, wish you success. I already donated a small amount personally will probably double this due to this great ama

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Thanks for the support! This means a lot

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

Ive already asked Serj about requesting an ICF grant. Are you looking into this or is this still against your personal decentralized view?

Personally i think yoy should definitely go with this route even if #26 passes

[xhipster@xhipster]

ICF want KYC. We do not accept this

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

I see yes that makes sence

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

That + I would like to add a little. Its not a grant, its an investment :)

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

Well not all grants are

[xhipster@xhipster]

Also its critical for the project to get involved users, not only investments. Its the only way how it could be learned

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

Yes but a grant could be used for supporting dev efforts, increase reach and exposure and make sure that you guys dont starve☺️

[xhipster@xhipster]

We wont if community support us bit by bit

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️]

I would add, a 190x CYB to Atom investment in terms of distribution.

[Immasssi | Cøsmos Alliance | Cosmos Tip Bot@Immasssi]

👌

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

How can individual Atom holders invest, outside proposal 26?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Good question

https://cybercongress.ai/how-to-donate/

:)

[xhipster@xhipster]

Go direcly to https://cyber.page/gol/takeoff and push the buttons.

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

I will!

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

If you get lost, check out https://cybercongress.ai/how-to-donate/

Thats the guide

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Great, thanks!

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Can people send #Atom for this also from the exchanges?

[xhipster@xhipster]

No.

[Save The Ales | cyber•Congress@savetheales]

absolutely not

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Otherwise it will end up in metaspace

[xhipster@xhipster]

Tokens will be issued to senders account

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

We want to make sure that people get their tokens, that's why it's a bit more strict. Where you own your private keys!

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

Ok, so only from wallets to which you own your private keys!

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Yes!

[xhipster@xhipster]

Donation process ensure this!

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

Need to say that we are using same hd path as comsos hub (118) and all interactions with cyber available directly with cosmos' ledger application

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Oh yes, you just use your ledger and the cosmos app

Let's have more questions :)

There are still prizes from @adriana_KalpaTech and us too :)

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

https://cyber.page/search/cosmos

Also we don't have transactions fees - we use bandwidth model in cyber

[Jazz@AtomJazz]

Ok I have another one. Is Jae somehow involved in Cyber (as an advisor or something)?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Nope :)

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

But he is an inspirer

@xhipster

?

[xhipster@xhipster]

He gave us some good early feedback. That is all

[Jazz@AtomJazz]

👍

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Maybe we should ask Jae :)

@cosmosjae

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

Need to mention that cyber is first network in cosmos ecosystem with GPU

We are using CUDA to compute cyber~Rank (token-weighted Page Rank) in consensys between validators

[xhipster@xhipster]

Yep. And if the things will go well we will enable any cosmos network to install GPU and have embedded search capability

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

There are our custom modules for rank computation (with cuda), graph index with proofs and for bandwidth scoring

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Ok, seems like we answered most of it :)

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

Also GPU gives us ability to later radically increase privacy and implement things like zk rollups

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Shall we conclude?

[CryptoQ@cryptoq11]

Are you planning to attract validators from Cosmos Networks to your testnets or mainnet?

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

This is more up to them. We have certainly sent out invites :)

If anyone has any more questions about cyber or prop 26, please visit our chat so we don't spam the main cosmos channel @fuckgoogle or feel free to contact me directly :)

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

I guess we are done. Thank you everyone for joining!

[xhipster@xhipster]

Thank you @adriana_KalpaTech for the amazing ama 🙂

[serejandmyself@serejandmyself]

Thanks @adriana_KalpaTech !

[Valery Litvin | litvintech@litvintech]

Thanks from all cyber community and team for awesome AMA @adriana_KalpaTech !

[Adriana KalpaTech|Tendermint ♍️@adriana_KalpaTech]

of course!!!

Thank you so much for joining and for answering all of these questions!

For the community: 3 days left to vote on Cyber's Community spend proposal, please cast your vote!
