The AbyssRaifer Hoffman, niewyobrażalnie bogaty "przemysłowiec" odchodzi w zaświaty. Kopnął w kalendarz i teraz wącha kwiatki od spodu. Pozostawia na tym świecie syna, Erica, którego nawet dobrze nie znał. Młodemu Ericowi wydaje się, że nigdy nie dorówna swojemu wspaniałemu Ojcu. Ale wkrótce okazuje się, że pan Raifer wcale nie był przemysłowcem ale złoczyńcą i superłotrem znanym jako The Abyss!

Komiks pełen świetnego humoru, ukrytych podtekstów i parodii gatunku. Bardzo świeże spojrzenie na gatunek 'komiksu o superboaterach' i doskonałe wykonanie, a wszystko za sprawą scenariusza Kevina Rubio (autora parodii p.t. The AbyssRaifer Hoffman, and incredibly rich “industrialist” has recently passed into the great beyond. He leaves behind a son, Eric, who laments the distance between he and his father. Seems Dad “always had something better to do.” Turns out Dad was no industrialist at all, but was, instead, the supervillain known as The Abyss.

All through this issue are details that you will want to keep your eye out for. It’s inventive inside all the usual superhero tropes; secret lairs, dual identities, military alliances and so on. "The Abyss" is written and created by Kevin Rubio – recipient of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars Fan Film Pioneer Award for his acclaimed internet-phenomenon parody film "TROOPS".
