Nie mniej to co usłyszałem na "Sacrificare" przynajmniej zdumiło mnie na tyle, aby zacząć kopać w tej muzycznej kolekcji. Płyta zawiera 14 kompozycji, które z pewnością przemówią nie tylko do odbiorców Toroidh, Der Blutharsch czy Folkstorm, gdzie najłatwiej umiejscowić ten krążek. W porównaniu z poprzednimi produkcjami Von Thronstahl przekaz jest bardziej zorientowany na "piosenki". Zamiast sporej dawki mroki, buczeń mamy rozwinięte kompozycyjne utwory zawierające większą ilość nie tylko światła, ale i śpiewności. Słowo przebojowość z pewnością byłoby niezbyt trafione, ale kawałki, jak otwierający "The Age Of Decay And Democrazy", "Dressed In Black Uniforms" oraz mój faworyt "Molti Piu Onore" (który zanim weszły akustyczne gitary spowodował pytanie - co to? New Model Army?) - z pewnością przypadną do gustu nie tylko fanom apokaliptycznego folk, ale również osobom, które poszukuja w muzyce dobrej dynamiki, melodii, spokoju, ale i mentalnego wyzwania. Muzyka Von Thronstahl dobrze się przyswaja, ale nie jest to przekaz łatwy w odbiorze.

The album is drenched with an air of forlorn lament; lyrically Von Thronstahl’s music is haunted by dreams of the glorious and golden past, sung in a mixture of English and German, of a mostly idealised Europa of shining white buildings and long straight streets, of muscular heroes marching boldly into the future at the head of huge armies, where leaders and workers stand shoulder to shoulder – all this while sitting amongst the ruins of a shattered empire. It’s as if the dark clouds are still casting their black pall over the boulder-strewn roads, the eyeless and toothless homes and factories, the sunken-eyed populace skittering amongst the rubble, and where all promises and hopes lie broken. The very lyrical and melodic simplicity works in the songs’ favour, fortifying them with a patina and a frayed grandeur entirely in keeping with the sentiments projected by the music.
