Opis:
Pierwsza i zarazem najlepsza z części "Wyścigu Cannonball". Klasyka "hot-car-movies" z gwiazdorską obsadą i w reżyserii Hala Needhama, wcześniej autora, m.in. "Mistrz kierownicy ucieka" (również z Burtem Reynoldsem). "Wyścig Armatniej Kuli" serwuje dosyć prymitywny humor i dzisiaj wcale tak nie bawi, ale fakt - był najbardziej kasowym filmem 1981 roku. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje jednak głównie rola Moore'a, który gra niejakiego Seymoura Goldfarba Jr., udającego ... Rogera Moore'a. Zawiłe i śmiałe zarazem. Kolejny dowód na to jak bardzo Moore próbował się oderwać od swego bondowskiego image'u.

Plot Summary:
The plot of a cross-country road race is based on an actual event, the Cannonball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash, organized by Brock Yates to protest the 55 mph speed limit then in effect in the U.S. The Cannonball was named for Ernest G. "Cannonball" Baker, who in the roaring 20's rode his motorcycle across the country. Many of the characters are based on ruses developed by real Cannonball racers over the several years that the event was run.
