Dario Marianelli is a film composer born in Pisa, Italy. He has composed the soundtracks for The Brothers Grimm (2005) and Pride & Prejudice. He received an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score for Pride & Prejudice. He last worked on the score for V for Vendetta. Marianelli was rumored to compose scores for the next Harry Potter Film Franchise, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), but it has now been comfirmed that the film's scores will be composed instead by Nicholas Hooper.
