Simonee Chichester is a filmmaker who resides in Los Angeles. In addition to telling stories Simonee teaches hot yoga at Modo Yoga LA.

Biography

Career

Once an aspiring actor, she made her directorial debut with a feature documentary Chichester's Choice.[1] Chichester's Choice told the story of Simonee searching for and eventually reuniting with her homeless father Edgar Chichester, who lived on the streets of São Paulo Brazil for nearly twenty-five years. The film was a critical and audience success making its premiere at the 2007 Hot Docs film festival and placing among the Audience Top Ten.[2] It also began Simonee's filmmaking career.

Simonee has since written and directed fiction and non-fiction films including the television short My Guy and viral sensation - Short of the Week - Captivus. She is currently developing three feature films: The life-affirming story Free to a Good Home, a micro-budget script To Whom it may Concern and, the 2012 Women in Film Kodak New Vision Mentorship Award winning script Merv.

Simonee resides in Los Angeles. She is married to film and television director Paul Fox.
