Syed Abrar Hussain Gilani, better known as Shakir ul Qadri, (Urdu: شاکرالقادری ) is an Urdu poet and author from Pakistan and Islamic scholar of Sufismin Chishti Order. He was the founder of Alqalam Taj Nastaleeq and Alqalam Fonts and owner and founder of www.alqlm.org.

Early life

Ul Qadri is a scientific, literary, spiritual and social personality. He belongs to the family of great spiritual personality of Muslim Ummah Abdul-Qadir Gilani.[1] Some of his predecessors migrated from Baghdad to Pakistan a long time ago. His father Syed Suleman Algilani Chishti Nizami was a spiritual leader. He is a poet of Urdu and Persian, author, editor-in –chief of quarterly Farogh e Naat, researcher, writer and representative Sufi of Chishti Nizami monastery (khanqah).In acknowledgement of his services, literary quarterly magazine Jamaliaat of Attock issued Shakir ul Qadri number.

Career

Shakir ul Qadri works at the Attock district council as a librarian.

He is a core administrator of Majlis-i-Nawadrat-i-Ilmiah Attock (Urdu: مجلس نوادرات علمیہ اٹک ) and Masjlis-i-Shair-o-Adab Attock (Urdu: مجلس شعروادب اٹک )

He was founder of "Farogh e Naat Academy & Farog e Naat magazine.[2]

He writes about mysticism, literature, calligraphy, personalities, civilization and the culture of Attock.
