Maine Coast Waldorf School is a school based in Freeport, Maine, United States, with its high school campus in New Gloucester. The school has about 265 students.
Maine Coast Waldorf is a member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE) and is accredited by these two organizations.
Students at Maine Coast Waldorf take French and German as well as the basics, Math and English, also PE, and also Woodwork and Handwork, and after 4th grade they learn to play one or more musical instruments. There is only one class per grade, and all the students in a grade go to classes together. Students go outside for two recesses every day. Students may join the cross country running team in the fall or the cross country ski team or basketball team in the winter, and in the spring may play frisbee.
