Anastrepha suspensa, also called the Greater Antilliean fruit fly or guava fruit fly is closely related to the Mexican fruit fly (Anastrepha ludens).[2]

Host

The larvae of the guava fruit fly attacks the tropical and subtropical fruit crops[2][3][4][5]

Economic Importance

EPPO has considered it as A1 quarantine pest. It is also a pest of guava, grapefruit, and various other cultivated fruits.[6]
